There was a daily online journal the management would write in so their employees would be always informed. My peer (in the loosest sense of the word) would always sign his input "JESSIE", which seemed to me a bit of unneccesary bashing about the head and neck. I mean, these poor CS reps took a beating from hysterical golfers (read: crotchety old white guys) all day and night. Last thing they needed was a poke up the rear from management.
So I started using the kinder, gentler "jason" to provide a bit of contrast. There were other points of contrast as well, such as my use of recognizable English in complete sentences in my entries.
About this same time, I started spending more time logging into various systems which required case-sensitive entry. So I have been using "jason carr" ever since.
