Collecting and trading Old Time Radio (OTR)

OTR: Either you like it or you don't. How many times has someone asked you "why would you want to listen to that"? What a strange question to ask someone.

My love affair with OTR began with the CBS Radio Mystery Theater in the 70s when I was a child. Obviously I was born after the 'proper' OTR era ended (early 60s?). There are a lot of us OTR fans that weren't around at the time, and it's always interesting to pick the brains of the old-timers that were listening to the stuff when it was originally broadcast.

In the 80s I started noticing that you could buy OTR on cassette from various sources. In the late 90s the internet took off as the essential trading medium. I nominate the MP3, the CD-R, the 'net and the RioVolt as the greatest contributions to the OTR revival.

Interests

You can get an idea of my current interests by eyeballing the OTR I have to trade and OTR I am seeking. I've also started a short page about some of my favorite series and why I like them.
